USE AND MAINTENANCE
ENGLISH
76 - EN
This extremely quick operation allows the operator to open the

fi
t new ones in their place then
turn the wrench through 180° in the anti-clockwise direction to insert
the pin and
fi
x the new tines in place (
fi
g.68).
The cutting side of the tines must always be set in the turning
direction of the rotor (
fi
g.70).
fi
g.70 shows the correct position of the tine cutting edge.
Minimum lenght of the tines
Tines are subject to wearing, so they must be replaced as soon as
they reach a minimum length of 150 mm (
fi
g.72).
If tines length is less than the minimum 150mm length,
the war-
ranty of the implement shall become void, and any complaint
for a damage due to the failure to comply with these instruc-

4.12 LEVELLING ROLLERS
The levelling rollers are used individually with
fi
xed harrows,
or in pairs in the case of folding harrows, as shown in the
table below.
Various types of roller can be used, depending on the character-
istics of the soil. However, the function of all the rollers is to level
and pack down the soil while increasing the degree to which this
latter is crumbled on the surface.
These are
fi
xed to the sides by 2 types of swinging support:
- for rollers up to 2500 in length;
- for rollers from 3000 to 5000 in length.
Packer Roller
(
fi
g.73)
This can be successfully used in very varied conditions, even when
the soil is fat or damp.
It is advisable to prepare heavy soils in combination with a Seed
drill.
Possesses a great levelling and crumbling effect on both the sur-
face and at depth.
Dimensions: D = 450; D = 500; D = 600.
Spiropacker Roller
(
fi
g.74)
Comprises a spiral bar wrapped around a central shaft.
It is particularly suitable for light, sandy soils and leaves a fair
amount of clods on the surface, settling the ground at depth and
forming the most suitable seed bed for the seed drill in certain
situations.
Dimensions: D = 500.
Cage Roller (
fi
g.75
)
Used for soil of medium texture that is not too damp.
Allows the tilling depth to be controlled, levels the tilled soil, re
