PREVENTING FIRE

• Start
• Start the engine only from a starter switch without any load or in neutral posi-
tion of the clutch of machine unit.
The machine unit suddenly starts to move or generates power to cause serious
personal injury.
• Keep the machine unit sufficiently away from a building and flam-
mable materials during engine running. It may cause fires due to hot
exhaust gas and engine body.
• Keep sparks, open flames or any other form of ignition (match, cigarette,
etc.) away when fueling / refueling. Fire and or an explosion may result.
FIRE

Extinguish the generator fire and immediately unload the whole content of the
portable extinguisher through the hole indicated by the label.
EXHAUST SYSTEM

The exhaust system must be leakproof and routinely inspected.

Carbon monoxide is a poisonous gas witch is present in exhaust gases.

In addiction to routine exhaust system inspection,install a carbon monoxide
detector.
Consult your boat builder or dealer for approved detector installation. Inspect your
detector before each generator set use. Test the carbon monoxide detector
function per the manufacter’s instructions and keep it operational at all times.

Use the following precautions when installing and operating generator set.
Do not install exhaust outlet where exhaust can be drawn in throught
portholes,vents,or air conditioners.
If the generator set exhaust discarge outlet is near the waterline, water could enter
the exhaust discharge outlet and close or restrict the flow of exhaust.
