1.2 APPLICATIONS
LOGS50 can be used in many different applications mainly regarding air and
water sectors. The more frequent ones are represented in the following figure:
As it can be observed from the picture above, a central PC works as server
(ensure to install correctly the GSM modem or more likely to have an internet
connection with static IP using several TCP/IP ports) controlling the
communications with the different remote LOGS50 loggers via GSM network.
Each LOGS50 monitors and records the measured values of the predefined
parameters out of the installation where the logger is located.
It can be said that is a
multipoint configuration
where a server device controls
and stores all the history data that a certain number of LOGS50 have previously
recorded in remote.
On the other hand, and without using GSM mobile technology (GPRS/3G)- an
application could be a direct connection through serial port (Bluetooth) to
retrieve recorded data.
