Tank Safety Checklist

Never enter the septic tank or pump tank.
Components should be accessed from the
outside only. There are very low levels of
oxygen in the tanks, plus there could be
accumulations of hydrogen sulfide, methane,
carbon dioxide and other harmful gases.

close to water or wet ground near the system. You could be shocked or
cause an explosion.

Always remember that the contents of your tank are
