You can use the meter to measure sound level with the built-in sound
sensor. The sensor is located near the mark "dB" on the top of the
meter (Figure 2).
Measuring Sound Level
Set the range switch to "dB" position.
Point the sound sensor to the sound source to be measured
(Figure 4).
Read the reading on the display.

The sound level measurements are affected by noise of
environment, location of the meter, and the distance
between the sensor and the sound source.
Place a windscreen (not supplied) in front of the sensor in
windy conditions because the meter may give a wrong
reading in strong wind environment (wind speed >10 m/s).
