- Wear the shoulder strap (17).
- Adjust the strap length so that the snap hook is
roughly one hand below the right hip (B15).
- Hook the petrol cutting blade into the snap
hook.
- Let the petrol cutting blade swing.
When standing in a normal working posture, the
cutting tool should just touch the ground (B16).
- You may use an Allen key to loosen the bracket,
if necessary, and shift forwards or backwards.
Thereby, it is important that the petrol brush
cutter is always well balanced (B17).
For operation, hook the petrol brush cutter
into the snap hook of the carrying strap
while the engine is running.
Fuel
Only use a mix of unleaded regular gasoline and
2-stroke special engine oil in a mix ratio of 40:1.
Caution: Do not use any other mix ratio and do
not use pure gasoline.
Do not use any fuel older than 2-3 months.
Empty the tank when taking longer breaks, and
refill before start of work.
Gasoline Mix
4,0 liters of gasoline and 100 ml of 2-stroke special
engine oil (filling station)
- Fill 4,0 liters of gasoline into a fuel tank together
with 100 ml 2-stroke engine oil and mix both by
shaking the tank vigorously.
- Fill the fuel into the tank and close the cap.
Filling up Gasoline
- Slowly turn the tank cap to open it, so that
pressure and gasoline vapor can escape in a
non-hazardous manner.
- Use a funnel to fill up the 2-stroke oil mixed with
gasoline in a ratio of 40:1, and tighten the cap
again.
Starting when Engine is Cold
- Place the petrol cutting blade safely on the
ground.
Fuel tank and cutting guard are used as support.
Make sure that the cutting tool does not come
into contact with either the ground, or any other
objects (B18).
- Move the operating switch (4) at the operating
handle down (B19).
- Move the choke lever (B20) up:
- Press the injection valve and hold it, until the
transparent gasoline tube fills with gasoline (B21).
- Use your right hand to clasp the operating
handle (3). Thereby, you will unlock the locking
device (5) of the throttle control (B22).
- Strongly press the throttle control (6).
- At the same time, press the locking
button (18) (B23).
- Keep the locking button (18) pressed down, and
release throttle control (6) and locking device (5).
Thereby, the locking button (18) is kept pressed
down automatically.
- Assume a safe posture.
- Use your left hand to keep the petrol brush
cutter strongly pressed on the ground (B24).
CAUTION: Never put your foot on the shaft, or
kneel on it.
- Pull the starter cable completely through 3 to 5
times (B24).
