An Open authentication is more secure type of authentication.

Select the type of
Encryption
. You can select either
104/128-bit
or
40/64-bit
. WEP encryption 104/
128-bit is more secure than 40/64-bit.
•
WEP uses a set of four default data encryption keys. Enter the WEP keys manually in
Key1
to
Key4
.
•
To indicate the WEP key you want the system to use, select the respective WEP key Number in
Use
WEP Key
.
If you select WPA or WPA-2, configure the following:
•
Select the type of
Encryption
. You can select either
TKIP
or
AES
.
Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP)
utilizes a stronger encryption method and incorporates
Message Integrity Code (MIC) to provide protection against hackers.
Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP) is

or

or
g and n
.
Advanced Encryption System (AES)
utilizes a symmetric 128-bit block data encryption.
•
Enter the
Passphrase
. This passphrase will be used to encrypt and decrypt data packets. The range of
passphrase is from 8 to 63 ASCII characters.

Enter the time in
Key Renewal Timer (sec)
. After the expiry of this timer, the system will renew the key.
•
Click
Submit
to save.
To configure the
Guest SSID,
follow the same steps as in
Network SSID.
Connecting Wi-Fi using WPS
You can secure a wireless network using
WPS ( Wi-Fi Protected Setup).
The WPS enabled clients (smart phones, IP phones and Laptops) can be connected to NAVAN over Wi-Fi. WPS
automatically configures the wireless network with a network name (SSID) and a strong WPA data encryption and
authentication.
You can secure your wireless network by typing a short
PIN
(numeric code) or pushing a button (Push-Button
Configuration, or
PBC
).
•
In
Push-Button Configuration (PBC)
method, the user has to push the
Connect
button provided in
Jeeves as well as in the new wireless client device you want to connect with NAVAN.
•
In
Personal Identification Number (PIN)
method, you need to enter the same PIN which is displayed at
the new wireless client device you want to connect with NAVAN.
•
For WPS to work,
•
Network SSID must be enabled.
•
Encryption type must be WPA/WPA2.
