7 Before using the Device
7.1 Unpacking
1. Carefully remove all components from the
packaging and place them on an even surface.
Check the contents for completeness.
Warning!
If parts are missing or damaged,
the power tool may not be put into operation. In
case of noncompliance with this warning there is
a considerable risk of injury.
2. If possible, keep the packaging until expiry
of the warranty. Once expired, dispose of the
packaging by recycling it in compliance with
environmental regulations.
7.2 Preparation
1. Clean the surface to be sprayed on before
application. Make sure it is free from any dust,
grease and other contaminations.
2. Thoroughly cover surfaces not to be sprayed
with a suitable foil or similar.
3. Mix the spraying material well. There may be
no clots or foreign objects. Prepare the material
as described below, if required.
7.3 Viscosity
Most colours and varnishes have been prepared
in such a way that they may be applied with
a paint brush or a brush. In order to use such
materials with this power tool, you must dilute
them. In doing so, comply with the instructions
of the manufacturer contained on the packaging.
Determine viscosity according to the following
steps before application.
1. Mix the spraying material well before
measurement.
2. Dip the viscosity measuring cup (11) up to the
edge into the material to be sprayed.
3. Lift the measuring cup (11) and measure the
flow time in seconds.
Note: The flow time of the spray material must
comply with the table below. If the flow time is
longer, you must dilute the material and repeat
determination of viscosity.
Note: Use appropriate diluents for dilution.
Observe instructions of the manufacturer for the
spray material.
Smoking is prohibited in the working
environment.
Do not point the spray jet towards
persons, animals, active electrical
equipment or towards the device
itself!
