Vacuum packing cannot reverse the deterioration of food. It can only slow down changes in quality. It is
difficult to predict how long food will keep their quality, flavor, appearance, or texture, because this
depends on the type of product, processing method and state of the product on the day it was vacuum
packed. Any perishable foods that require refrigeration must still be refrigerated or frozen after vacuum
packaging. As with any perishable product, the product must be checked carefully before processing,
storage and consumption. Inform yourself about product-specific properties, safety and processing methods
when vacuum packaging them!
