TP-4800 Series Product Warranty

Maxon America, Inc. (herein "Maxon") warrants to the first
end user only, each new radio product manufactured or supplied
by it to be free from defects in material or workmanship under the
conditions of normal use and service for two (2) years for parts
and labor. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase
from an Authorized Maxon Sales and Service Outlet.
In the event of a defect, malfunction or failure during the
warranty period, Maxon will repair or replace, at its option,
the radio product or part(s) therein which upon examination by
Maxon shall appear to be defective or not up to factory specifica-
tions. Maxon will pay labor charges incurred in providing the
warranty service, against its rate schedule.
To obtain in-warranty or out-of-warranty service, the defective
product should be returned to the Authorized Maxon Sales
and Service Outlet from where it was purchased. Any and all
requests for warranty service must be accompanied by proof of
purchase, such as a bill of sale or cancelled check. The user is
responsible for the payment of any charges or expenses incurred
for the removal of the product from the vehicle or other site
of its use, for the installation of the repaired unit in such site,
for the transportation of the product to the place of repair and
for the return of the repaired product to its site of use.
The limited warranty does not extend to products which have
been subject to misuse, neglect, accident, incorrect wiring,
improper installation, catastrophe, the fault or negligence
of the user, or the use of the product in a manner for which
it was not designed. Nor does the warranty extend to units
on which the serial number has been removed, defaced or
changed. Maxon reserves the right to make changes or
improvements in its products during subsequent production,
