Guidelines for mounting your Remora 40

Before using your Remora 40 for the first time
you must read the following instructions.

The Remora has been designed with high strength suction mounts for
temporary mounting on your vehicle, to ensure maximum suction is
achieved, the installation must meet the following conditions:

Surface

1. The surface MUST be smooth, flat* and non porous.

*The surface must be flat with no curve. Some vehicle windows and side panels may have a very
slight curve that is difficult to notice. Even a slight curve will prevent your Remora 40 from mounting
correctly with the suction mounts. This could result in damage to your system.
If you are unsure we recommend that you attach the top suction mount first. If you notice a gap
between the bottom mount and the surface and you require pressure to close the gap this would
suggest a curve and should not be used as a mounting surface.

2. A patterned, corrugated or textured surface should not be used.

3. A smooth, gloss surface such as a plastic/glass window, GRP (glass reinforced plastic)
or aluminium panel is suitable. GRP/Aluminium panels must be bonded to a substrate.

4. The product uses high strength suction mounts which create a vacuum between the suction pads
and the surface. It is the users responsibility to ensure the surface is suitable. Extra care should be
taken if using a thin surface not bonded to a substrate, as this may result in damage to
    your vehicle.

5. We recommend if you are in any doubt, please contact your vehicle manufacturer. Maxview will
have no responsibility for any damaged caused to your vehicle through the misuse of these
    instructions.

6. Clean the surface before attaching the Remora 40 to ensure maximum suction.

7. We also recommend cleaning the surface with a dry cloth after removing the Remora 40.

8. It’s normal for the Remora 40 to leave a light mark on the surface. This can be easily wiped away
    with a dry cloth.

Suction Pads

1. Ensure the silicone pads are clean and clear of debris and foreign bodies.

2. The suction pads are constructed from a high performance silicone. It’s very important the pads
are looked after to ensure the correct function of the Remora 40.

3. After each use, store the Remora 40 carefully to avoid scratches and nicks to the pads.
We always recommend storage in the bag provided.

PLEASE NOTE.
Any damage to the silicone pads can have an adverse effect to the suction performance of your
Remora 40.
