Switching On the Device
1. Comb through the hair before using the
device. Make sure there are no knots in
the hair.
2. Fully unwind the connecting cable and
connect the mains plug to an easily ac-
cessible plug socket.
3. To switch on the device, hold down the
button until the temperature dis-
play (
3
) lights up.
After the device is switched on, it auto-
matically starts to heat the heating plates
up to approx. 190°C.
4. To set another temperature, briefl y press
the
or
–
button repeatedly. You can
choose from the temperatures 230°C,
210°C, 190°C, 170°C or 150°C.
During the heating phase, the displays
of the temperatures which have not yet
been reached fl ash.
5. Wait a moment until the display of the
chosen temperature stops fl ashing. This
is when it is reached and the device is
ready for use.
6. Press together the heating plates (

) of
the device and slide the locking catch (
5
)
outwards (away from the device). The
heating plates
fl ip apart.
7. If the steam function is to be activated,
hold down the
button until the sym-
bol
lights up on the steam function
display (
2
).
The steam is generally invisible until
the heating plates make contact with
the hair.
To switch off the steam function, hold
down the button
again.
