A) Remove tape in four locations on outside of frame rails.
Note: To ease the process at rearmost locations, locate the weldnuts
using the rearmost hole in the underside of frame. Use a screwdriver
to punch through undercoat and pry off the protective tape. Be sure
not to damage threads on the weldnuts in the process.
B) Using a flathead screwdriver, remove electrical wire
from one location on outer driver side frame rail.
Note: Wiring is dependant on trim level. Some vehicles will
need this removed on both the driver and passenger sides.
LOOSELY BOLT SIDE PLATES INTO POSITION
TOOLS: FLATHEAD SCREWDRIVER, TAPE
