Operation
Only put the device into operation when you have become familiar with its features and these
operating instructions. Check again that all connections are correct.
Sound reproduction systems can reach high volume levels, which can damage your hearing.
Do not listen to excessively loud music. This applies in particular when using headphones,
which might damage your hearing.
Switching the mixer on/off
Non-observance of the order described in the following when switching the mixer on/off can
damage the loudspeakers or the connected amplifier.
Switching on
• Make sure that all channel faders are set to minimum volume (channel faders all the way down).
• First switch on the playback devices connected to the mixer.
• Switch on the mixer using the POWER on/off switch. The POWER LED (45) lights up.
• Activate the used channels of the mixer using the respective BATT ON switches.
• Switch on the connected amplifier and the recording device (connected to the TAPE OUT sockets). The device
is now ready for operation.
Switching off
• To switch off the mixer, first turn the volume of the mixer and of the amplifier to the minimum.
• Switch off the amplifier.
• Switch off the mixer using the POWER on/off switch. The POWER LED (45) goes out.
• Now switch off the playback devices (record player, CD player, etc).
• If you are not using the mixer over a longer period of time, pull the mains plug from the power socket or remove
the batteries from the mixer.
Adjusting the input signal
Use the „GAIN“ input level control to adjust the mixer input to the output signal of the playback device connected.
The following description refers to fader channel 1, but can be applied to all other fader channels.
