12. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS: AIRFRAME FUEL FILTER
PART I
GENERAL
The airframe fuel filter incorporates a filter unit mounted in
series between the
aircraft fuel system and the engine fuel system. A pressure sensing switch in the
filter body will illuminate a FUEL FILTER L or R caution light on the instrument
panel when the fuel differential pressure across the filter increases to a preset level.
When the filter becomes fully clogged, a bypass valve contained in the
filter
unit
opens and the fuel bypasses the filter element.
