ADJUSTING THE MACHINE
The machine should always be on flat, level ground, and the engine should always be off before making any of these
adjustments to the machine.
Wheel Locking Pins
The wheel locking pins are used to place the machine in tilling or transport modes.
To place the wheels in the transport (free-wheel) position:
1) Remove the lock pin.
2) Slide wheel inward towards the machine.
3) Re-insert the pin in into axle only.
4) Fold the lock pin ring to secure the pin to axle.
5) Wheel should now turn freely on the axle.
6) Repeat for the other wheel.
To place the wheels in the tilling position:
1) Remove the lock pin.
2) Align the hole in axle with the hole in the wheel hub.
3) Insert the lock pin through both wheel and axle.
4) Fold lock pin ring to secure the pin to axle.
5) Ensure the wheel is firmly locked to the axle before tilling.
6) Repeat for the other wheel.
Always have both wheel lock pins in either transport or tilling positions. Do not operate the tiller in transport mode or with
only one wheel locked in the tilling position.
Handlebar Adjustment
The ideal height of the handlebar varies with operator height
and the depth of tilling
To adjust handlebar height:
1)
Unscrew nuts and remove top bolts on each side of the
lower handlebar.
2)
Loosen the lower bolts but do not remove them.
3)
Align handlebar to desired height holes on the lower
handlebar mount.
4)
Re-install bolts and nuts.
5)
Retighten all four bolts securely.
