Cleaning
Every month
(De-scale)
After a while in use lime scale will build-up around the hotplate of the Steam
Steriliser. This should be removed at regular intervals.
After each
use
• Always unplug the appliance from the mains before cleaning it.
• Do not clean the appliance when hot.
• Wait 15 minutes after use to allow the Steam Steriliser to cool down.
• Ensure that the plug does not come into contact with water.
• Wipe the inside and outside of the Steam Steriliser with a damp (not wet)
cloth.
Note: Use water of drinking quality for any described cleaning procedures
Do not clean with abrasive cleaners
Never place the Steam Steriliser directly under tap water
Never clean the Steam Steriliser in a dishwasher
Version 1
• Mix
100 ml/3.3 oz
of water with citric acid* according to manufacturer’s
instructions and pour solution into empty Steam Steriliser.
• DO NOT place bottles or accessories into the Steam Steriliser when de-
scaling.
• DO NOT put lid (2) on.
• Press On-/Off-Button (5). The Cleaning process has started.
• After 1-2 minutes unplug and leave the solution to cool for 30 minutes
before emptying the Steam Steriliser and rinsing with tap water.
• After this run a full sterilising cycle, without content, with the lid (2) on and
using exactly 100 ml of water.
• Wipe the inside and outside of the Steam Steriliser with a damp (not wet)
cloth only.
Version 2
•
Pour 50 ml/1.8 oz of vinegar mixed with 50 ml/1.8 oz of cold water into
the Steam Steriliser.
• DO NOT place bottles or accessories into the Steam Steriliser when de-
scaling
• DO NOT start the sterilising cycle.
• Leave liquid in the unit until lime scale has dissolved.
• Empty the unit and rinse thoroughly with clear water.
• Wipe the inside and outside of the Steam Steriliser with a damp (not wet)
cloth only.
*Citric acid is available from most drugstores and pharmacies
Note: Do not use anything other than citric acid or vinegar as this may cause
irreparable damage
