Backrest angle
When using the Discovery Seat for transportation in motor vehicles it is vital
that the backrest is locked in an upright position, with the plunger engaged in
the lower hole in the backrest.
To lock the backrest
Position the backrest 90 degrees to the seat by loosening the knob
(B)
and
angling the backrest forward. Pull the plunger
(A)
as the backrest is being
angled. Release to engage in the lower hole when the backrest is at 90 degrees.
Check the plunger is engaged and then tighten the angle adjustment knob
(B)

WARNING
Failure to lock the backrest in an upright position will allow the
backrest to move, and in the event of an accident, may cause
severe injury or death to user or to other persons.
WARNING
Failure to lock tilt in space safety plungers will allow the complete
seat to tilt freely, and in the event of an accident, may cause severe
injury or death to the user or to other persons.
Seat tilt in space angle
When using the Discovery Seat for transportation in motor vehicles the seat
must be tilted back and the safety plungers

locked in the 10 degree transport
holes highlighted by the warning label.
To lock the seat tilt
Pull the plungers

, turn 30 degrees and release to engage the pins. Squeeze
the tilt in space actuation lever

and tilt the complete seat until both safety
plungers

engage in the lower transport hole. Release the actuation lever
