Battery operation – inserting the batteries into the device
− The battery compartment

is located at the rear of the device.
− Release both latches and remove the battery compartment cover.
− Insert four 1.5 V R20/LR20/D/Mono batteries (not supplied) with the negative
ends on the springs. Refer to the diagram in the battery compartment!
− Replace the battery compartment cover.
The device is battery-operated if no mains cable is connected to the
~ AC IN
socket

. The device is now in standby mode.
WARNING!
Risk of explosion!
Risk of explosion if batteries are replaced incorrectly.
− Replace batteries only with the same or equivalent type.
Mains operation – connecting the mains cable
− Connect the supplied mains cable to the
~ AC IN
socket

of the device.
− Plug the mains cable into an easily accessible 220-240 V ~ 50/60 Hz mains socket.
The device is mains-operated even if batteries are inserted at the same time.
NOTE!
The device also uses a little electricity when it is connected to the mains and switched
off. Therefore, disconnect the device from the mains when it is not in use.
