Handling batteries
Batteries may contain combustible materials. If handled improperly, batteries may leak,
heat up excessively, ignite or even explode, which could result in damage to the device
and your health.
WARNING!
Risk of explosion if batteries are replaced incorrectly.
Replace batteries only with the same or equivalent type.
Please note the following safety advice:
• If swallowed, batteries may endanger life. For this reason, keep the remote control
and the batteries out of reach of children. If a battery is swallowed, please obtain
immediate medical assistance.
• Never charge batteries (unless they are designed to be recharged).
• Always observe the correct polarity.
• Never empty the batteries by means of high power output.
• Never short-circuit the batteries.
• Never expose the batteries to excessive heat, such as sunlight, fire or similar.
• Do not dismantle or deform the batteries. You could injure your hands or fingers,
and battery fluid could come into contact with your eyes or skin. If this happens,
rinse the affected areas immediately with plenty of clean water and contact your
doctor immediately.
• Avoid heavy impacts and vibrations.
• Clean the contacts in the battery compartment and on the new batteries before in-
sertion.
• Remove empty batteries from the device immediately.
• Remove the batteries from the device if you do not intend to use it for
a long period of time.
• Cover the contacts of the batteries with sticky tape if you want to store or dispose
of them.
Set-up location
• Set up and operate all components on a stable, level and vibration-free surface to
prevent the device from falling down.
• Do not jolt or shake the device. Impacts may damage the sensitive electronics.
• Do not place the device near heat sources (e.g. heaters) that could affect it.
• Do not place naked flames (e.g. lit candles) on or near the device.
• Make sure that you do not obstruct or cover the vents to ensure permanent ade-
quate ventilation.
• Do not place any objects on the cable as these could damage it.
• Maintain a minimum distance of approx. 10 cm between the device or mains
adapter and any walls. Ensure adequate ventilation.
• Do not use the device outdoors because external elements such as rain, snow, etc.,
could damage it.
