6. Teletext
Videotext is a free service broadcast by most channels and contains the latest news,
weather, TV programmes, share prices, sub-titles and other information.
6.1. Using the videotext
Your remote control has special buttons for operating the videotext.
Select a TV channel that broadcasts videotext.
Press the
button once to display the start/index page for the videotext.
Press the
button again to make the text transparent (the TV image can be
seen in the background).
Press the
button again to switch back to TV mode.
6.2. Selecting a page
Enter the number of the desired videotext page as a three-digit number using
the number buttons.
The selected page number is displayed in the top left corner of the screen. The
videotext counter searches as long as it takes to find the selected page number.
The direction buttons
can be used to scroll forwards or backwards through
the videotext pages.
6.2.1.
Colour
buttons
If coloured fields or text entries are displayed at the lower edge of the screen then
you can select the contents directly by pressing the appropriately coloured button
RED [
PROGRAM
], GREEN [
INTRO
], YELLOW [
REPEAT
] and BLUE [
A-B
].
6.2.2. SUB.T
( )
Some videotext pages have subpages. The lower edge of the screen may contain
something like
1/3
, for example. The subpages are displayed one after another at an
interval of about half a minute. You can call these subpages by pressing the
but-
ton. You can also scroll through the subpages using the direction buttons
.
