Foodstuffs in the refrigerator
To avoid moisture triggering defrosting, cover up
Always cover up

liquids before putting them in the refrigerator. Frost
tends to concentrate in the coldest zones of the
evaporator and thus promotes defrosting.
Do not chill warm
foods
Never put warm foods into the fridge
compartment, all food must cool down to room
temperature before storing it in the fridge. Place
the foodstuffs so that there is sufficient circulation
of air within the refrigerator.
Do not allow objects to come into contact with the
rear wall of the refrigerator since they can freeze on
to it. Avoid opening the door too often.
Store liquors and spirits vertically in well-sealed
bottles in the refrigerator.
Wrap meat and
fish in film
Store meat and cleaned fish (wrapped in several
layers of paper or plastic foil) in the coldest part of
the refrigerator to keep them as fresh as possible.
This is on top of the glass plate over the vegetable
bin. However, do not keep meat and fish longer
than 2 days.
Fruit and vegetables can be stored un-
wrapped in the vegetable compartment.
