16.1. Using the WLAN radio as media client
Your WLAN radio supports the UPnP, or Universal Plug and Play, protocol. This
means you can wirelessly stream audio files from your PC to the WLAN radio if you
have UPnP software installed.
The Internet radio supports the connection as a digital media renderer (DMR). You
can play back music files from the computer on the Internet radio and also adjust
the volume from the computer.
NOTICE!
In Windows 7, the UPnP connection must be confirmed on the comput-
er beforehand. Also read the corresponding documentation for your op-
erating system!
16.2. Connection between the Internet radio and a
media server
Connect your radio to the media server as follows:
Open the
MUSIC PLAYER
menu in the main menu and select
SHARED
MEDIA
.
The radio starts to search for available media content in the network. After a few
seconds, the media server name will be displayed, if found, e.g.: NAS server living
room.
If you want to connect the installed media server to the radio, press the
OK
but-
ton on the remote control or press the dial (
OK
).
The folders and music files on the media server will appear. You can now select and
play music files.
NOTICE!
You may also need to confirm and authorise the connection on your PC!
