Initial charging
2.1
Scope of delivery
• Do not allow the unit to become overheated due to excessively long use.
• Only pull the plug out of the socket when you have dry hands and when the
unit has been switched off.
• Consult your doctor first before using this unit if you have diabetes or other
related illnesses.
• Pregnant women should note the important precautionary measures and the
amount of stress they can take, consult your doctor first if necessary.
• Do not treat any parts of the body that have swellings, burns, inflammation,
peeling skin, wounds or other sensitive points.
• The treatment should be pleasant. Stop at once and consult your doctor if you
feel pain or the treatment seems unpleasant.

The device is equipped with a Ni-MH rechargeable battery.
Please ensure that the device is charged before initial operation. To charge,
plug the charging station
plug into a socket. Make sure that the device is
turned off and place the device onto the charging station
. The charge
control lamp
will illuminate and the charging process commences. Appro-
ximately 18 hours later, the device
may be taken off the charging station
and operated independent of the electricity supply.
Tip
If the device is still on the charging station, the charge control lamp
is illuminated - independent of whether the rechargeable battery is
fully loaded.
The
MEDISANA Medistyle A
has the enormous advantage that it is ready for
use independent of a mains power supply. This makes its operation easy and
safe for you, no troublesome power cord can disturb you when manicuring and
doing pedicure. Please ensure therefore that the rechargeable battery in the
device is regularly charged.
Plug the power mains switch of the charging station
into a socket and place
the device
on the charging station. The illumination of the charge control
lamp
indicates that charging process has started. An empty rechargeable
battery is fully recharged after ca. 18 hours. The device can then be used inde-
pendent of a mains supply for 20 minutes.
If the rechargeable battery is empty, the device turns off automatically. This
turning off mechanism guarantees effective protection against total discharge
and long-lasting use of the rechargeable battery.
