Cane Instructions
WARNING
For safety, these precautions must be taken when using this product.
Before each use make sure:
• Cane is adjusted to correct height.
• Spring buttons are fully engaged and locking collar is tight.
• The tip is in good condition. Replace the tip immediately when worn.
• Hand grips are attached securely and do not slip.
• User weight does not exceed 250 lbs. (113 kg).
Use only as instructed by your healthcare provider. Always use extreme care when using
a cane. Avoid all potential safety hazards including slippery, uneven or soft surfaces and
objects in path. Failure to follow the above instructions may result in serious injury.
General Use Guidelines
• When using a cane for stability, you may grip it in either hand.
• Hold the cane in the opposite hand of the affected leg and move the cane in unison
with the affected leg. Each time you step with the affected leg, also move the cane to
give you support as you walk. When you step forward with the unaffected leg, keep the
cane in place for support.
• Your healthcare provider might recommend a specific walking pattern.
Push Button Adjustable
• Loosen the locking collar.
• With your shoes on, and your arm down at your side, your wrist should be even with
the handle of the cane. Engage the spring button into the proper hole.
• Retighten the locking collar.
