Setting the functions
Set the drill setting selector and the hammer setting selector before the rotary hammer drill is turned
on.
1.
Press the lock button to set the drill setting selector and turn the drill setting selector until it
clicks into place in one of the two settings.
2.
Turn the hammer setting selector to set it to the horizontal setting, either to the right or the
left side of the rotary hammer drill.
NOTE!
Only change the setting selector when the motor is at a stand still. If the setting selector
is moved when the motor is on, the drill direction will abruptly move, which can cause material
damage.
Changing drill bits
NOTE!
Wear protective gloves during fitting and removal of drill bits. Drill bits get very hot during
operation. Do not remove the drill bit until it has cooled. Do not use a hammer to strike drill bits that
have become stuck.
1.
Pull back the chuck and insert or remove the drill bit. Make sure that the drill bit is inserted as
far as the stop in the chuck.
2.
Release the chuck.
3.
Check that the drill bit is correctly in place. You should not be able to pull the drill bit out of
the chuck.
NOTE!
Use the drill bit with four cutting edges when drilling holes larger than 31 mm.
Work area and anchoring of work piece
1.
Choose a work area which is clean and is well-lit. The work area should not be accessible to
children or animals.
2.
Safely lay the electrical cord to the work area so that there is no risk of anyone tripping over it
or that the electrical cable is exposed to possible damage. The electrical cable must be long
enough so that movement in the work area is not limited.
