Positioning
• Place the appliance on a level, stable
surface when in use and during handling,
transport and storage. If the appliance
tips over or drops it can cause personal
injury.
Mains connection
• Electrical connections must only be
carried out by an authorised electrician.
Electrical connections must comply with
IEC60364-1.
• The appliance must be connected to the
mains supply with a residual current
device with a maximum tripping current
of 30 mA.
• When starting the appliance there may be
a temporary voltage drop in the mains
supply, which could affect other
equipment. Such interference does not
normally occur if the impedance in the
mains supply Zmax is less than
0.335 ohm. Contact your electricity
supplier for more information.
• An incorrectly connected earthed plug can
result in electric shock:
– Consult an electrician or qualified
technician if you have any questions
about electrical connections or
earthing.
– Never modify the plug in any way.
– If the plug does not fit the mains
outlet, contact an authorised
electrician to install an earthed
mains outlet.
plug before cleaning, installation,
maintenance, storage and/or transport.
WARNING!
• Always check the power cord and plug
for damage before use. Do not use the
appliance if the power cord or any other
important parts, e.g. safety devices,
high-pressure hoses and the trigger
handle, are damaged.
• If an extension cord is used the connection
must have an adequate protection rating
and must not be immersed in water or
any other liquid. Do not allow the
connection to lie on the ground. Use a
hose reel if possible with the connection
at least 60 mm over the ground.
• Never spray flammable liquids – risk of
explosion.
• Water that has passed the check valve is
not suitable for drinking water.
• High-pressure hoses, fittings and
couplings are very important parts for
the safe use of the appliance. Only use
hoses, fittings and couplings
recommended by the manufacturer.
Using detergent
• Incorrect use of detergent can result in
serious personal injury and/or material
damage.
• Store detergent out of the reach of children.
Extension cord
• Unsuitable extension cords can cause a
fire and/or electric shock.
• Always pull out the complete extension cord.
• Keep power cord connections dry and
above ground.
• An extension cord must comply with the
following requirements concerning its
cross sectional area and length:
