Charging the battery
NOTE:
• Make sure there is adequate ventilation
when charging.
• Do not cover or block the ventilation
openings – risk of overheating.
Batteries are supplied with a weak charge and
must be charged before using for the first time.
If the charger does not charge the battery after
following these instructions, return the battery
and charger to the retailer to be checked and
rectified. The charging time varies depending
on the battery capacity.
NOTE:
Do not put the charger in a very hot or very
cold place. The charger works best at room
temperature. The battery gets warm during
the charging. This is quite normal.
1. Plug the charger into a power point.
2. Align the strip on the battery to the slot in
the charger, and press the battery in place.
3. Press the battery in place so that the
connectors on the battery come into
contact with the connectors on the
charger. The green status light flashes
when charging is in progress.
4. When the battery is fully charged the
green status light stays on.
5. Remove the battery from the charger.
6. Unplug the charger from the power point.
IMPORTANT:
The battery must be removed from the
charger if all the status lights go off when in
use to prevent damage. Do not attempt to
charge another battery. Take the charger and
battery to an authorised service centre to be
repaired or replaced.
