FITTING OF PRESSURE DEVICE FOR
WORKPIECE
WARNING!
Switch off the product and pull out the plug
before assembly.
FITTING OF PRONG DRIVE
1. Remove the face plate, if fitted.
2. Hold the drive axle (19) with a spanner
(16) and unscrew the face plate (13) from
the drive axle (19).
3. Hold the drive axle (19) with a spanner (16).
4. Screw the prong drive (1) on the drive axle
with the other spanner (16).
NOTE:
The face plate (13) is used instead of the
prong drive (1) for turning bowls, etc.
FITTING OF FACE PLATE
1. Remove the prong drive (1), if fitted. Hold
the drive axle (19) with a spanner (16) and
unscrew the prong drive (1) with the other
spanner.
2. Hold the drive axle (19) with a spanner
(16).
3. Screw the face plate (13) on the drive axle
(19).

SELECTING THE SPEED
The table provides guidance for selection of
suitable speed. The diameter of the workpiece
is given on the X-axis. The speed is given on
the Y-axis. Start with the diameter of the
workpiece, follow the vertical line up to the
curve and read off a suitable speed.

• Select low speed for new workpieces.
• Use a higher speed for bigger workpieces.
• Several factors affect the speed, such as
the material, diameter and length.
• Select low speed for hard wood,
workpieces that are not round, and for
long workpieces with large diameter.
ADJUSTING THE SPEED
1. Undo the two retaining screws (20) on the
two drive unit caps (21).
2. Open the drive unit caps (21).
3. Remove the screws (22) on the motor unit
with the supplied hex key (12).
4. Bring up the motor unit (23) with the
lever (24) to relieve the V-belt (26).
5. Tighten the locking screws (22) on the
motor unit (23).
6. Move the V-belt (26) to the groove on the
drive pulley (25) that corresponds to the
required speed.

– The drive unit caps (21) have
interlock switches (27). The interlock
switches (27) close automatically
when the drive unit caps are closed
(21). The product will not start unless
both drive unit caps (21) are correctly
closed.
7. Remove the locking screws (22) and bring
down the motor unit with the lever so that
the V-belt is tensioned (12).
8. Tighten the locking screws (22).
9. Close the drive unit caps (21) and tighten
the locking screws (20).
