Overheating is visible as a ring of sparks, that appear to rotate together with the discs. If this happens,
stop working immediately and run the tool without load for a while to cool the discs.
•
If the work is going slowly and a ring of sparks is seen round the discs, this means the discs have
become blunt. You can sharpen the discs by running them for a short while in abrasive material, such
as calcareous sandstone.
MAINTENANCE
NOTE:
Switch off the tool, unplug the power cord, and wait until all moving parts have completely stopped
and the discs have cooled before carrying out maintenance.

The tool does not require any special maintenance.
•
Clean the tool regularly with a soft cloth. Keep the ventilation openings clean and free from dust.
Clean the ventilation openings with compressed air.
•
A damaged power cord must be replaced by an authorised service centre, or qualified person, to
ensure safe use. The carbon brushes should when necessary be replaced by an authorised service
centre, or other qualified person.
•
After finishing the work, remove the diamond discs and clean the motor flange, flange nut and
protective casing.
•
Check the discs for cracks and other damage.
•
Never use cracked or otherwise damaged discs.
•
Any repairs must only be carried out by an authorised service centre.
