USE
Before use
1.
Check that the electrical installation data corresponds with the data on the rating plate.
2.
Check that the power switch is in the OFF position plugging the plug into the mains supply.
3.
The compressor is now ready to use.
Use
1.
Start the compressor by setting the power switch in the On position.
2.
The compressor switches off when the maximum calibration value is reached (set at the factory).
3.
The compressor restarts automatically when the minimum calibration value is reached (2 bar
between max. and min. value).
4.
The pressure in the tank is controlled with the pressure gauge.
5.
The compressor continues automatically with this cycle until the power switch is set in the Off
position. Wait at least 10 seconds after the compressor has been switched off before starting it
again.
6.
Check that the air consumption and maximum operating pressure correspond with the set working
pressure. The working pressure can be adjusted with the relief valve. Turn the relief valve
clockwise to increase the pressure, and anticlockwise to reduce it. Check the set value with the
pressure gauge.
7.
Switch off the machine, unplug the plug and empty the compressed air tank after work.
MAINTENANCE
NOTE:
Unplug the plug and completely empty the compressed air tank before working on the machine.
Empty the condensate formed in the tank at regular intervals, or when you have finished working. This is
to protect the tank from rust and to maintain full capacity.
Corrosion must be prevented
Depending on the conditions of use, condensation may accumulate inside the tank, and this must be
emptied out every day. This may be done manually, by opening the draining tap, or by means of the
automatic condensation drainer, if fitted to the tank.
During maintenance, every 12 months, the user or a Client Service expert must check the presence of
internal corrosion and perform an external visual control. If the receiver is used with an oil-free
compressor, or in surroundings that have a high level of humidity, or in adverse conditions (poor
ventilation, corrosive agents,…) the inspections should be made every 3 months.
The actual wall thickness of the tank after corrosion should not be smaller than 2 mm for the shell and 2
mm for the heads.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Cause
Action
Reduced capacity. Frequent
starting. Low pressure values.
Intensive use or possible leakage
from couplings and/or hoses.
Replace the seals on the
couplings.
Clogged intake filter.
Clean or replace the filter.
The compressor stops and
automatically restarts after a few
minutes.
Tripping of the overheating
protection due to the motor
overheating.
Clean the ventilation holes in the
manifold. Ventilate the room.
The compressor stops after a few
attempts to start.
Tripping of the overheating
protection due to the motor
overheating (removal of plug
during operation, weak supply
voltage).
Switch on the pressure switch
button. Ventilate the room. Wait a
few minutes for the compressor
to automatically restart. Do not
use extension cords for the
power cord.
The compressor does not stop
and the safety valve actuates.
Compressor malfunction or faulty
pressure switch.
Pull out the plug and contact your
service centre.
All other work on the machine must be carried out at an authorised service centre, using original spare
parts. Any modifications to the machine can put safety at risk and invalidate the warranty.
