DESCRIPTION
This direct current welding unit for single phase is designed according to safety standard EN60974-
1:2005. The unit is primarily designed for welding metals such as copper, low carbon steel, low alloy
steel, stainless steel etc.
The unit is compact and portable and easy to strike and has high tolerance to mains voltage
fluctuations. The unit can be used for welding in all positions.
The unit is used for arc welding with acid or basic coated electrodes.
The unit is built with a high frequency inverter, which gives a low weight and good performance.
The welding current is variably adjustable and can be adapted to the thickness of the workpiece.
The unit has a down ramping function and a duty cycle up to 60%.
The unit is fan cooled and has voltage indication and indication for the overheating protection.
The unit can be transported using the carrying strap and handles.
Accessories included: Electrode holder, earth clamp, welding cable 2 m, welding cable 1.5 m,
chipping hammer, wire brush and welding helmet.
OPERATION
Working environment requirements
Only use the unit in areas that are well ventilated, free from dust, moisture and vapours.
Do not expose the unit to sunlight and/or rain.
Ambient temperature: -10°C to 40°C at most 1000 m above the sea.
Mains connection
Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate.
The unit must be connected to the mains supply with a three core cable with phase conductor, neutral
conductor and yellow-green conductor.
The unit must be connected to the mains supply via the power source with a residual current device
and fuse. Connect the mains conductors to the unit’s terminal block for the input voltage.
Cables must only be replaced by qualified personnel.
Connect the earth clamp to the workpiece before welding and check that it makes good contact.
The power cord must not be longer than 2 metres.
The conductor cross-section and fuse sizes are shown in the table below.
The cable must be of the type 3 x 2.5 mm
2
or 3 x 1.5 mm
