Front and Rear dampers
• Replace if the attachment starts to loosen or its rubber starts to crack.
• Replace if the inside of the rear damper metal has been knocked against by the stopper bolt and
a gap has arisen.

Sharpening cutters
• It is very important for smooth and safe operation to always keep the cutters sharp.
• The saw blades need to be sharpened when:
– sawdust becomes powder-like.
– you need extra force to saw.
– it is difficult to make a straight cut.
– vibration increases.
– fuel consumption increases.
WARNING
Be sure to wear safety gloves.
Before filing:
1.
Make sure the saw chain is held securely.
2.
Make sure the engine is stopped.
Use a round file of proper size for your chain.
– Chain type: 91S053T
– File size: 4 mm
1.
Place your file on the cutter and push straight forward.
2.
Hold the position as illustrated.
3.
After every cutter has been sharpened, check the depth gauge and file it to the proper level
as illustrated.
WARNING
• Be sure to round off the front edge to reduce the chance of kickback or chain break.
• Make sure that every cutter has the same length and edge angles given in the table.
