Prepare a 2 to 23 mm diameter drill bit

Lay down the engine facing the valve mounting hole downward so that the removed carbon
will not drop into cylinder

Use the drill bit to scrape off the deposits Rotate it very slowly

Make sure to remove the drill bit and pull recoil starter several times
7
Reinstall the dismantled parts

Sharpening the saw chain’s cutters
WARNING
• Be sure to wear safety gloves
• Be sure to round off the front edge to reduce the chance of kickback or chain break
NOTE:
• It is very important for smooth and safe operation to always keep the cutters sharp
• Use a round file of proper size to sharpen the chain
• The saw blades need to be sharpened when:
– sawdust becomes powder-like
– you need extra force to saw
– it is difficult to make a straight cut
– vibration increases
