Special safety instructions
• Always check that the appliance is switched off before inserting the batteries.
• If the battery is inserted in the electrical appliance when the power switch is in
the ON position, there is a risk of personal injury and/or material damage.
• Do not attempt to charge the battery with any other charger than the one
supplied. A charger intended for one type of battery can result in a fire risk if
used with another type of battery.
• Only use the type of battery supplied with the appliance. The use of other
batteries can result in personal injury and/or fire.
• When the battery is not in use keep it away from other metal objects such as
paper-clips, coins, keys, nails, screws and other small metal objects that can
short circuit the terminals. Short circuiting discharges large amounts of energy
and can cause a fire and/or serious personal injury.
• Failure to handle the battery carefully can cause acid to leak from the battery.
Avoid contact with battery acid. If you get battery acid on your skin, rinse
immediately in plenty of fresh water and wash thoroughly with soap and water.
If you get battery fluid in your eyes, rinse your eyes with clean water for at least
10 minutes and then seek medical attention immediately. Battery acid can
cause skin irritation and/or burns.
Service
The machine must only be serviced by qualified personnel using identical spare
parts. This will ensure that the machine remains safe to use.

• The battery is uncharged on delivery. Charge the battery before using it for the
first time.
• In order for the battery to attain full capacity, it must be charged and
discharged several times.
• Batteries self-discharge with time. Maintenance charge regularly if the
appliance is not going to be used for some time.
• Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type
plate.
• Store the charger and appliance out of the reach of children.
• Wear suitable clothing. Wear safety glasses.
