in your eyes, rinse your eyes with clean water for at least 10 minutes and then
seek medical attention immediately. Battery acid can be neutralised with a
weak acid, such as lemon juice or vinegar.
• Keep the charger and power cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges and moving
parts. A damaged power cord must be replaced by an authorised service
centre, or qualified person, to ensure safe use.
• When the battery is not in use keep it away from other metal objects such as
paper-clips, coins, keys, nails, screws and other small metal objects that can
short circuit the terminals.
• Do not attempt to charge the battery with any other charger than the one
supplied.
• Do not use the charger if it has received a heavy knock, been dropped, or
otherwise damaged.
• Allow an approved service centre to check and/or repair the charger when
necessary.
• Do not attempt to charge other types of batteries with this charger – risk of
explosion, personal injury and/or material damage.
• Do not allow the battery to become completely discharged. Over-discharging
will shorten the battery’s useful life.
• Charge the battery immediately when the appliance becomes weaker.
• The appliance and battery become hot when charging. This is completely
normal. Allow the battery to cool before charging.
• Do not expose the appliance to rain or moisture.
• Do not use the machine in explosive environments, such as in the vicinity of
flammable liquids, gases or dust.
• Do not burn batteries – risk of explosion.
• The charger is only intended for indoor use. Do not expose the charger to
moisture. Charging temperature 10-40 °C.
• Do not expose the charger to temperatures over 50 °C.
Special safety instructions
• Carefully inspect the area where the machine is to be used and remove any
stones, wires, bones or other foreign objects. If you encounter foreign objects
while working, turn off the appliance (release the switch) and remove the
items.
