Use
Remove foreign objects from the area where the appliance is to be used. The start inhibitor prevents
accidental starting. Start the trimmer by pressing in the start inhibitor while pressing in the power
switch. Release the power switch to turn off the trimmer.
Trimming the lawn
Move the trimmer over the ground. Best results are achieved when the grass is dry. Charge the battery
immediately the trimming result is inferior.
Trimming hedges
The appliance can be used to trim small hedges and shrubbery.
1.
Angle the appliance slightly in relation to the hedge.
2.
Start by trimming the sides upwards from the bottom.
3.
Now trim the top of the hedge or the shrubbery.
NOTE:
Watch out for foreign objects that could damage the blades.
Suitable season for trimming
• Hedges that shed their leaves usually should be trimmed in June and October.
• Hedges that do not shed their leaves should be trimmed in April and August.
Changing accessories
NOTE:
Risk of personal injury.

To release the mounted accessory, press the release lever (pos. A, fig. 2) and loosen the
accessory as illustrated.
2.
When the accessory has been removed, the drive mechanism’s gear is visible (fig. 3). Ensure
that no contaminants enter the drive mechanism.
3.
Fit in the reverse order.
Fitting the hedge shears
NOTE:
Wear safety gloves when handling the shears.
1.
Loosen the grass shears in the direction of the arrow (fig. 4). Fit the hedge shears in the
direction of the arrow (fig. 5). A clicking sound can be heard when the hedge shears are
locked in position.
2.
To fit the hedge shears, insert tab (fig. 6) in the slot in the casing.
3.
Press in the pin (fig. 3) against the oval slot (fig. 6) in the hedge shears.
4.
Press the cover plate (fig. 7) upwards until it clicks into place. The cover plate must be
attached to the trimmer before starting.
Fitting the grass shears
1.
Remove the hedge shears and fit the grass shears. A clicking sound can be heard when the
grass shears are locked in position.
