It may be necessary to rotavate dry, hard soil twice.
The outer blades can be removed for narrower strips.
For best results, rotavate the ground twice in
directions at right angles to each other.
Never change direction from forward to reverse or vice versa when moving. This will damage the
transmission. Always release one lever and wait until the blades have stopped moving before pulling the
other lever.
NOTE:
Always be careful when moving backwards in case there are any obstacles behind
you.
NOTE:
Do not attempt to slow the rotavator by holding it back.
Keep yourself relaxed when working with the rotavator.
Do not overload it.
Always operate it carefully.
Depth adjustment
The rotavator can be set to three depths. The deeper the
skid goes into the soil, the deeper the blades will dig down
and the slower the rotavator moves.
It is always easier to work at the right depth and that
depends on the type of soil. Try different settings to find
the right depth.
Set the depth by pulling the skid back and moving it to the
required position. Push the skid down until it engages in a
suitable notch.
