• Prolonged exposure to noise may cause permanent hearing loss. For that
reason, always use approved ear protection.
• Under no circumstances may the design of the brush cutter be modified
without the permission of the manufacturer. Always use genuine accessories.
Non-authorized modifications and/or accessories can result in serious personal
injury or the death of the operator or others.
• A brush cutter or trimmer can be dangerous if used incorrectly or carelessly,
and can cause serious or fatal injury to the operator or others. It is extremely
important that you read and understand the contents of this operator’s
manual.
• In order to avoid injuries caused by vibrations and cold, maintain good blood
circulation by performing vigorous arm exercises during frequent work breaks
and also by not smoking. Continual and regular users of the brush cutter
should monitor closely the condition of their hands and fingers.
• The brush cutter is only designed for trimming grass.
• You should only use accessories specified in these instructions.
• Never use the brush cutter if you are tired or ill, if you have drunk alcohol or if
you are taking medication that could affect your vision, judgement or co-
ordination.
• Never use a brush cutter that has been modified in any way from its original
specification.
• Never use a brush cutter that is faulty. Carry out the checks, maintenance and
service instructions for the brush cutter described in this manual. Some
maintenance and service measures must only be carried out by qualified
specialists.
• All covers, guards and handles must be fitted before starting the brush cutter.
Ensure that the spark plug cap and ignition lead are undamaged to avoid the
risk of electric shock.
• The brush cutter operator must ensure that no people or animals come closer
than 15 metres while working.
