Equipment Stop Button
The Megger Baker ADX tester is equipped with a red Equipment Stop (E-Stop) button on the front panel of the unit.
Use it to quickly discontinue a test and to shut off power to the unit’s high-voltage circuitry during DC and Surge
testing.
The button will remain locked in position until manually retracted by rotating the Equipment Stop button clockwise.
A warning icon appears on the ADX screen noting the lockout, and the user interface is disabled until the E-stop
button is reset.
ADX power will not turn off.
CAUTION: When engaged, the E-Stop button deactivates only the unit’s high-voltage circuitry. It does
not turn off or remove all power from the ADX. Pressing the E-Stop button does not stop an RLC test
after it has been started. Care must be taken when handling the unit and device under test even when
the E-Stop is activated.

ADX Test Lead Receptacles
Before attaching the test leads to the back panel receptacles with each use, open the cover on each receptacle to
inspect the inside to ensure that no foreign objects have gotten into the receptacles.
Inspect the cable ends as well to ensure that they are in good working order, and that no parts are missing or damaged.
WARNING: Never insert any object other than the Megger test leads provided into the
receptacles. Inserting other objects into the receptacles can result in injury or death from severe
electrical shock.
