ADX Software Overview
on testing without dealing much with system setup issues. If they are given the proper role and permissions, any
user can be allowed to make changes. You can choose from the defaults provided, you can copy and edit existing
configurations, or you can create new Assets and Test Configurations from scratch.
NOTE:
Assets and Test Configurations are used in all applications. Depending on your organization’s
structure and preference, Installations and/or Routes may or may not be used. This guide focuses on
Assets and Test Configurations. Refer to the
Megger Baker ADX User Guide
for more information on all
elements.
Test Configuration Editor
The application includes a set of Test Configurations that can be directly assigned to Assets, or used as examples for
creating new configurations. Use the
Test Configuration Editor
screen to edit or copy existing Test Configurations, or to
create new ones.
New Test Configurations should be created before creating or editing Assets because you will assign available
configurations during the Asset creation or editing process.
NOTE: This section introduces Test Configurations to provide a frame of reference and understanding
of the role that Test Configurations play in the testing process. Refer to the M

Guide
for more detailed information.
In MANUAL test mode, the software uses only the temperature compensation values and limits specified in the Test
Configuration. All other test elements and controls are handled manually within the test screens.
In AUTO and SEQUENCE modes, the software uses all values and specifications defined in the Test Configuration to
define test parameters and controls.
The Test Configuration Editor screen appears after clicking on the Test Configuration icon in the SETUP mode main
screen, or from the toolbar at the top of many test screens.
