SETTING UP
Test controls and terminals are identified in
Section 6. The following steps are listed as a
general guide for setting up the insulation tester.
Before setting up the equipment make sure you
have read and understand Section 2 of this
manual entitled SAFETY. Working with due
regard to safety, identify the terminal of the
apparatus to be tested.
Define the type of test required
Setup barriers or use other means to keep
unauthorized personnel away from all high
voltage terminals of the complete test
arrangement.
SELECTION OF LOCATION
1.
The operating area must be as dry as possible.
2.
The operator of the test set must be able to
conduct the test without being exposed to
traffic hazard; the operator must have free
access to all controls and be able to read the
