The opening and closing of the steam valve in the steam tank will cause a clicking sound. This is
perfectly normal.
Ironing without steam
You may iron without steam, to do so choose one of the options:
Start ironing without pressing the steam activator, or
Switch the steam rate dial to close position.
Use the iron as usual.
Vertical steaming
CAUTION!
Never direct the steam at people. Risk of burns!
You can steam iron hanging curtains and clothes (jackets, suits, coats) by holding the iron in vertical
position and pressing the steam activator.
After ironing
Put the iron on the stand.
Switch the appliance off.
Remove the mains plug from the wall socket and let the iron cool down before you keep it.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
CAUTION:
Never immerse the iron in water nor rinse it under the tap. Wait until the iron cools down
completely -
RISK OF BURNS!
Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items. Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents
Clean the iron with a damp cloth.
Wipe scale and any other deposits off the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive
cleaning agent.
Storage
Always let the iron cool down before storing it.
Empty the water tank and store the supply hose and the mains cord.
