9 – Mode of operation
Preparing the workpiece
Remove foreign bodies (nails, screws,
mortar residues, etc.) from the
workpiece, as they are a hazard for the
blades.
Risk of injury, if workpiece flies
out! Securely fasten workpiece!
Clamp workpiece in a vice or fasten to
the workbench with cramps. Ensure
planing path is clear!
Basic work procedure
Before starting place the front sole of the
planer on the workpiece. Do not place
the cutter shaft on the workpiece yet!
Start the electric planer.
Feed the electric planer evenly onto the
workpiece in the direction of work
shown. When working, feed the planer
forward carefully and evenly. Do not
plane backwards!
At the end of the planing pass continue
pushing the planer until the cutter shaft
is free of the workpiece. Leave the rear
planer sole resting on the workpiece.
Switch off the electric planer.
Risk of injury from open blades
still running! Wait until motor
comes to a dead stop!
Only then should the electric planer be
removed from the workpiece and put
down.

Chamfering
The planer sole has a groove running
along its length for even guidance when
chamfering edges. Fence and depth
stop are not needed:
