• Do not work with damaged grinding
or cutting disks or bent shafts.
• Make sure that the dimensions of the
grinding tool fit the grinder.
• Ensure prior to use that the grinding
tool is correctly in place and attached.
Allow the tool to run idling in a safe
position for 30 seconds. Stop work
immediately if unusual vibrations occur
or other deficiencies are noticed. In
such a case, check the machine
carefully to determine the cause.
• Never use separate reducing sleeves
or adapters to fit grinding disks with
large holes.
• Do not use cutting-off disks for roughing
down.
• During dusty work, ensure that the
ventilation slits are kept free. Should
it become necessary to remove the
dust, first disconnect the power plug.
Do not use any metallic parts for dust
removal. Avoid damage to parts
inside.
• Do not try to stop the insertable tools
with the hand.
• The floor around the machine must be
flat, clean and free of loose particles.
• The person using the machine must
be sufficiently trained in the use,
setting and operation of the machine.
• Do not attempt to work material
containing asbestos.
When doing work which
generates dust, wear a
breathing mask and
protective goggles, do not smoke and
avoid naked flame.
• Contact with and inhalation of
sanding dust is harmful to the health
of the operator and persons nearby.
Therefore, wear a mask.
• Hazard from flying sparks and
particles. The operator and persons
nearby should therefore wear suitable
eye protection, e.g. safety goggles.
ATTENTION! Risk of burns from
flying sparks! Do not store
flammable materials nearby.
• Use the machine and accessories
only for their intended applications.
• Avoid stalling the motor through
overload.
• When changing accessories, always
use the correct collet chuck.
• If in continuous use, allow the
machine to cool down occasionally.
When working metal, always
wear safety goggles!
ATTENTION! Always unplug before
changing bits! To prevent the
machine from starting unexpectedly,
switch the ON/OFF switch (1) to OFF
(position O) and the speed control knob
(6) to the lowest setting (stop "–").
• Always protect eyes and ears.
• Other personal safety equipment such
as dust mask, gloves, apron and
helmet should also be worn.
ATTENTION! The insertable tools
continue to run after the
machine is switched off. Wait until the
machine has come to a dead stop
before putting it down.
