Disposal of the appliance
(Applies to the EU and other European countries with
a system for the separate collection of recyclables)
Old appliances must not be disposed of in
the household waste!
If the cordless screw-
driver can no longer be used, every consum er
is legally obliged to dispose of used devices
separately from the household waste, e.g. by
handing in to a collection point provided by
the community/town. This will ensure that
used appliances are properly recycled and
prevent detrimental impact on the environ-
ment. That is why electrical appliances are
marked with the above symbol.
Batteries and rechargeables may not be
disposed of in the household waste!
As
the consumer, you are legally obliged to
return all batteries and rechargeable
batteries whether they contain hazardous
materials* or not, to a collection point in
your community/town/store so that they can
be disposed of in an environmentally friendly
way.
* Labelled with: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury,
