Upper Trimmers
The upper trimmers clip the old thread during a color splicing cycle. If the trimmers have lint or
pieces of thread on them, they may not operate efficiently and the color change may not be
successful. The upper trimmers are at the back of the manifold, where the thread enters the
splicing cell. Refer to Figure 5-4 while you perform the following steps:
1. To locate the trimmers, stand at the side of the machine, just behind the manifold and look
toward the front of the embroidery head.
2. Spray air into both holes at the top of the trimmer.
Do this two or three times a week, or any time you are having color change or thread splicing
problems.
Aim compressed air into these
openings to clean trimmer area.
