INTRODUCTION

To get the best out of your new appliance, please read this
user guide carefully before using it for the first time. We also
recommend that you keep the instructions for future reference,
so that you can remind yourself of the functions of your
apparatus.

SAFETY MEASURES

Normal use of the appliance

•  Incorrect use of this appliance may cause personal injury

and damage.

•  Use for its intended purpose only. The manufacturer is

not responsible for any injury or damage resulting from
incorrect use or handling (see also Guarantee Terms).

•  For connection to 230 V, 50 Hz only.
•  The motor section or cord of the appliance must not be

submerged in water or any other liquid.

•  Do not operate with wet or damp hands. Make sure that no

liquid gets into the motor section.

•  Never leave unattended when in use, and keep an eye on

children.

•  The blade and grating/slicing disc must be handled with

caution, as these parts are extremely sharp. Always remove
the blade before emptying the jug.

•  Do not leave the appliance running for more than 1 minute

at a time. If the appliance has been running for more than 1
minute, leave it to cool down before you use it again.

•  Never use if the jug is empty.
•  For domestic use only.
•  Not for outdoor or commercial use.
•  NEVER use your fingers, kitchen utensils or similar to push

ingredients down the feed tube! Use the accompanying
tamper.

•  Do not remove any accessories until the appliance has

stopped completely.

•  Do not use the blade and the grating/slicing disc at the

same time in the jug.

Positioning the appliance

•  Always place the appliance at the back of the kitchen

counter.

•  Do not place next to hot areas, for example gas rings and

electric hotplates.

Cord, plug and mains socket

•  Ensure that the cord is fully extended.
•  Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of a table/

counter, and keep it away from hot objects and naked
flames.

•  Check regularly that neither cord nor plug is damaged and

do not use if they are, or if the appliance has been dropped
or damaged in any other way.

•  If the appliance or plug is damaged, it must be inspected

and if necessary, repaired by an authorised repair engineer,
otherwise there is a risk of electric shock. Never try to repair
the appliance yourself.

•  Unplug before changing accessories, taking the lid off the

jug or cleaning, and when not in use.

•  Avoid pulling the cord when removing the plug from the

socket. Instead, hold the plug.

•  Check that it is not possible to pull or trip over the cord or

any extension cord.

USING THE APPLIANCE

•  Place the motor section (2) on a flat surface, e.g. a kitchen

counter, and make sure it is standing firmly on the four
suckers underneath.

•  Fit the short end of the blade bushing (4) into the shaft hole

on the motor section.

•  Fit the jug (5) onto the blade bushing with the handle

pointing towards you. Lock the three studs on the motor
section into the three holes on the base of the jug.

•  Fit the motor spindle (6) on the stud in the middle of the jug.
•  Fit the required accessories, and place the ingredients into

the appliance as described below.

•  Start by turning the on/off button (3) to position “1” or “2”

and switch it off by turning it back to position “0”.

•  To use for brief food preparation, turn the on/off button to

position P (pulse function). The appliance will run at top
speed as long as you hold the button down in that position,
and will stop when you release the button, which then
automatically reverts to position “0”.

•  When using the knife (10) or blade (12), stop the food

processor at regular intervals and check whether the food
has been adequately blended/chopped.
