Link  between  banana  plugs  should  be  untouched.  Both 
banana plugs should be in rhight socets (red in red, black in 
black). Exacly like in pic. 2.

Preparation of object of work: 

 

Object of work  should have clean surface,  without any 
coating (no plastic, no lacquer etc.),  

corrosion, 

grease  et cetera. 

 

Before  work  object  have  to  be  degreased  (preferably: 
degreased with isopropyl alcohol.  

Degresing 

should take place in windy room without source of fire) 

 

After deagresing solvent should vanish from surface of 
the object (it should happen in  

windy room) 

 

Clip object with black crocodile clip

 

 
After all steps device and object are ready for work. 

 

During hardening you should respect these rules: 

 

After cliping object with black crocodile clip you can 
safely switch on MELONDIZER mod.1 (switch is on 
the cabel) and DREMEL ENGRAVER 290 (switch is 
on the device) 

 

DREMEL  ENGRAVER  290  vibrates  which  creates 
electrical  discharges  after  touching  object.  That  
action harndes object 

 

You  should  make  slow  circual  moves,  sliding  moves 
(forward and back or to the sides). Your moves should 
partialty take part on previously hardned surface 

 

You  will  receive  best  efect  when  DREMEL 
ENGRAVER 290 worksat angle of 15-45 degrees 

 

Hardned  surface  looks  differet  than  before.  You 
should not left unhardned spots. 

 

Device  has  thermal  switch    inside.  In  case  of  long 
work  it  might  stops  generating  electric  arc

.

  In  that 

case you have to make at least 1h break.

When electrode or object of heats up too much (over 
70  C)  you  should  turn  device  off  and  cold  down 
electrode in air (do not put in water!) 

 

During  the  work  WC-Co  electrode  and  object  can 
heat  up  to  the  high  temperatures.  Cool  down  the 
electrode before pluging it off. 

 

 

WC-Co  electrode  can  be  replaced  with  HARD 
electrode.  In  case  of  switching  these  two  electrodes 
you should: 

-plug MELONDIZER mod.1 off electrical network 
-plug WC-Co electrode off 
-plug HARD electrode in (respecting 5.3 rules) 
 

4.4 Common problems and solutions

 

 

Only  people  with  permision  and  with 
specialistic knowledge which allows them to 
repair  damage  alone  can  do  it.  Do  not  put 
any  kind  of  bridges  or  bypass  which  are 
supposed  to  improve  work  of  device.  Any 

ingerention  in  work  of  device  can  result  in  damage  to 
device or user. Seciurity in this device is automatic. In case 
of ingerention in automatic seciurity user loses warranty.
