Filling with water
Open the lid on the water reservoir (4).
Put the grinder cover (1) on the grinder (2).
Fill with the required amount of water.
NOTE
All the water in the reservoir is used, regardless of the
set number of cups or the set strength.
Note the level indicator (12) in the water reservoir. Do
not overfill.
Close the lid on the water reservoir (4).
Filling coffee beans
Remove the grinder cover (1).
Check that the lid on water reservoir (4) is closed so that no coffee beans can drop down into the
reservoir.
Pour coffee beans into the grinder (2). Do not overfill.
Put the cover (1) on the grinder (2).
Inserting the coffee filter
Press the lock button (5) to open the filter compartment(10).
Put a size 4 coffee filter in the filter holder (11).
Close the filter compartment (10).
Setting the number of cups
Push and hold the button
(27) until the required number of cups is shown.
The options are 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 cups.
The number of cups is saved until it is either changed or the power cord is unplugged for more than
1 minute.
Setting the strength of the coffee
Push and hold the button
(25) until the required strength is shown.
The following options are available:
weak, medium and strong.
The setting is saved until it is either changed or the power cord is unplugged for more than 1
minute.
Extra strong coffee:
Push the button
(28) to brew extra strong coffee (similar to espresso). The display shows 2
–4
and switches between 2 and 4 every time the button
(28) is pressed.
NOTE
This function can only be used if 2 or 4 cups have been selected.
Press the button
(27) to activate the function. The symbol 2
–4 disappears from the display.
